Minja, aims to offer a practical and effective solution to reduce packaging waste in the catering sector. We have found that disposable packaging used in restaurants often only has a very short shelf life, in the order of 30 minutes, unlike other types of disposable packaging which at least extend the shelf life food to avoid wastage.We have therefore designed an innovative digital solution that aims to replace these disposable packaging with reusable containers. Concretely, we provide reusable food boxes, digitized with QR codes, to partner restaurants. These boxes are then offered free of charge to customers who use our Minja app to take their food away. Customers can then return the boxes to one of the many Minja collection points, where they are cleaned and reused for new meals.Its a win-win for everyone: restaurants reduce their packaging costs while reducing their environmental impact, customers benefit from a more sustainable packaging option, and the planet is saved.
